BUSINESS PLAN DEVELOPMENT AND WRITING: The usual fee for development and writing of a complete business plan, with all associated pieces, including embedded financial models and marketing plans, ranges between $5,000 and $15,000. The exact fee is set at the beginning of the project, and depends on your specific needs and goals, industry type, and other variables.
MARKETING PLAN DEVELOPMENT AND WRITING: The fee for development and writing of a complete stand-alone marketing plan, with all associated pieces, ranges between $5,000 and $10,000. (No extra charge is made for marketing models that are part of a business plan.) The exact fee is set at the beginning of a project, and depends on specific needs and goals, industry type, and other variables.
FINANCIAL MODELING: Financial modeling is an integral part of each business plan and marketing plan produced by Mamau Consulting, and no extra charge is made for financial models that are part of a business plan or marketing plan. Stand-alone financial modeling is perfomed on a set-fee basis, decided prior to work, usually between $2,000 and $4,000.
LEGAL COORDINATION: Coordination of legal services is provided on an hourly rate basis. The hourly rate is $150.
PARTNER COORDINATION: Coordination of non-legal partnering services is provided on an hourly rate basis. The hourly rate for this service is $150.
WEB SITE DESIGN: Web sites are created for a fixed fee, ranging between $2,500 and $15,000. Each website is custom designed to your exact specifications and needs, not created from a template. Our web designers are skilled at creating polished and functional websites, and at helping drive traffic to your website. The creation fee includes all minor changes and updates to the website for a period of three years.
NEGOTIATION SUPPORT: Negotiation support is provided on an hourly rate basis. The usual hourly rate is $150.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS/ADVISORY BOARD SUPPORT: Board of director and advisory board support is provided on either a set-fee or hourly rate basis. The exact arrangement depends on each client's specific needs.
Q: Do you provide references upon request?
A: Yes.
Q: Does the client own all completed and paid-for work product?
A: Yes. Ownership by the client is explicitly specified in the contract signed with Mamau Consulting at the beginning of a project.
Q: What are your payment terms?
A: Each set of payment terms is individually negotiated, but generally speaking, 50% of the estimated amount in a project is due at the beginning of the project and the remainder at completion. We do not work purely on contingency.
Q: Do you accept payment contingent on a company's obtaining funding?
A: No. In certain cases, we will split the required payments, requiring a portion of the estimated fee (usually 50%) to be paid up front and accepting an increased amount later contingent upon some event (usually funding).
Q: Do you invest in your clients?
A: Sometimes.
Q: Do you obtain funding for your clients?
A: Our services are designed, among other goals, to maximize your chances of obtaining funding. And we will refer our clients to potential sources funding with whom we have connections. We often offer obtaining funding as a service. We do accept commissions and referral fees for any funding sources with align with our clients.
